Happy 4th of July, y’all! I’m being quite productive today; already I’ve made a delicious lunch, started a new custom Mickey ears hat, and am getting ready to whip up raspberry lemonade cupcakes for a fireworks party later tonight. While I love days like this where I am getting stuff done, the last thing I want to do is get super glammed up for running errands or putzing around the house. But being me, I also want to feel at least a little put together.

That’s why I’m sharing my top 5 favorite dresses that I can throw on and get going on lazy days. These dresses are comfy and versatile. These are ones I wear on pretty heavy rotation year-round (thank you, Sarasota weather), and can be dressed up or down. I’ll also note that all of these dresses are from my favorite site to buy dresses, eShakti. (Get $25 off your first order!)

1.) Green 40’s Frock

I LOVE this dress. When I ordered it, I wasn’t too sure about the peplum, but that’s now my favorite part of this dress. The print is lovely little yellow, red, and black flowers on a green background. And, like all my favorite dress, it has pockets! If eShakti ever brings back this style, I will be all over it.

2.) Flamenco-sleeved Loveliness

This crepe blouson dress is a true staple. I know not everyone would feel confident in big, flouncy sleeves, but they’re very me. Plus, I’ve spilled all sorts of stuff on this dress and it still looks fresh and new. The tropical print is also super cute and fun.

3.) Celestial Love

This is another crepe dress that drapes exceptionally well. This dress has been through a lot and still looks fab. I’ve worn it to conferences events, traveling on a plane and around Europe, and sometimes just lounging around the house. If you like star-prints, eShakti has quite a few to choose from. Check out this, this, and this.

4.) My Husband’s Favorite

(This isn’t the most flattering photo of me, but I love that you can see the whole dress.)  My husband has said on more than one occasion that this one is his absolute favorite. I particularly love brown and blue together; an unusual color combination that is rather striking. In middle school, I practically lived in a brown and blue maxi dress, so this reminds me of that. The way the leaf print lightens at the bottom also draws the eye away from the middle section. Here is a similar print.

5.) When Life Gives You Lemons

Ah, the lemon dress. Another one that has gone on many an adventure with me (this is in front of the John Lennon wall in Prague). Is there really anything more fun than a citrus print? Thankfully, eShakti always seems to have some in stock. I love wearing this dress with yellow or pink shoes, and a chunky necklace.
